Truly God is great. When I wrote in September it was “to
invite you to partner with us in an amazing opportunity to maintain
and extend the ministry of Camp Imadene.”
I am thrilled to be able to tell you that, because of your
wonderful and positive response, the Camp Board have decided to
proceed with the purchase of the 160 acres of land including 7000 feet
of waterfront on Mesachie Lake. The purchase will occur on March 31st and we continue to need your financial support. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed or given a pledge of encouragement.
The great challenge to us all is not only to meet the
financial obligations of the property purchase but to maintain our
overall goal of investing in the lives of boys and girls. We
passionately believe that by sending boys and girls to camp, where
they can hear the gospel, see it modelled in the lives of the people
and learn more about the Christian faith we can continue to make an
incredible contribution to the church of Jesus Christ and support the
families associated with Camp.
Camp Imadene is committed to the overall task of expanding
and developing the camp program and facilities and they know that you,
our camp family, are the key. They are determined to create a much
closer relationship with all supporters by the introduction of an
ongoing blog on the camp website -www.imadene.com- and a monthly
letter sent by email or by regular mail, if email is not available.
The information will bring you up to date with the financial status,
physical improvements and discussion of future plans, spiritual
victories and issues for prayer.
Many of you are already on our list of supporters because
you have made significant pledges or donations. We will always need
and continue to be grateful for those exceptional and generous gifts
however, we recognize that many want to help but cannot make large
donations.
For all those, who are limited financially but anxious to
help, we are introducing the Imadene 20+ Partner program. The goal
of this program is to have multiple people contributing small amounts
on a regular monthly basis. 1000 people, donating $20 a month, over
five years would generate $1,200,000.
If you would like to sign up as an “Imadene 20+ Partner” (we
are happy to receive any amount, the important thing is regular
monthly giving) you may either contact Lindsay Gaunt, Dennis Scott or go to the Camp
website - www.imadene.com- where details will be available.
If you would like to discuss this program or any camp issue
please contact me and I will either respond personally or redirect
your request to the appropriate Camp personnel.
We pray that our Heavenly Father, through His gracious love
and mercy, will grant you all a New Year of opportunity and service
that will result in His glory and honour.
