Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.
[Psalms 57:5]

February 2010

Dear Friends of Camp Imadene,

Camp's motto "Faithful to the Faith" is really another way of expressing what the psalmist is saying in the above quote. Our desire is to see the Name of God exalted.

As we move toward another camp season, Camp Imadene will be launching its "Leave No Bunk Empty" campaign as every empty bunk is a lost opportunity for someone to hear about the love and majesty of our God. More details will be sent out soon on how you can join us. This is our goal, not just for this year, but for future generations. As one of those who have been 'around for a while' it is incredibly exciting for us to see some of those who were once kids at camp, now, as young adults, taking a significant lead in the affairs of camp. I look back and am also thankful for that previous generation who established and developed camp and left a legacy for us to pass on. We want the gift to continue.

As we approach the deadline for the completion of the Mountain purchase our faith is being stretched. We are within range but we need another $60,000 in gifts or loans to complete the contract by March 31, 2010. We have been amazed at what God has done in such a short time but we know He would not want us to loose our focus upon the overall welfare and support of the continuing camp program. Our Imadene 20+ Partner Program is a way to give a smaller and manageable financial contribution on a regular basis. Whether you give $20, $5 or $500 a month, the key point is that you are supporting camp in finances and prayer on a regular basis, not just during the summer months.

If everyone signs up, this program will give us the ongoing cash flow to maintain camp and fulfill all our financial obligations. It is critical that people sign up NOW.

Have YOU committed to give to Camp Imadene? Take action on your decision today.

The upcoming season’s registration is already up slightly from 2009 and the staff is eagerly preparing for a great season.
  • The Camp staff has responded to changes in our demographics by adding another Teen Coed camp and a short Mini Junior camp for campers who are unsure about being away for a whole week.
  • There are also additions to our outdoor program and
  • upgrades to our Lakeview lodge facility
  • The important process of building the ‘Summer Team’ is now in progress. Pray that the right people apply for the numerous positions available.
I look back at my 27 years involvement with camp and am filled with praise and joy at the lives I have seen changed, the fellowship I have enjoyed, and the wonderful friends I have made. My experience is just one of many. Please continue to help us pass on this wonderful legacy.

Neh 2:18 I also told them about the gracious hand of my God upon me …… They replied, "Let us start rebuilding." So they began this good work.

In Him, Dennis Scott
(On behalf of the Camp Imadene)
