OPERATIONS MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Manager is a full-time position reporting to the Executive. This individual manages all physical operations including maintenance, construction, and the organization of the day-to-day facility operations of Camp Imadene. All contractors and volunteer trades will be responsible to the Operations Manager.
The Executive has overall responsibility for all activities on-site at Camp Imadene.
DETAILS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
General Duties
-
Maintains the total camp physical plant and equipment in a fully effective operating condition.

Carries out operations and maintenance tasks directly or with the assistance of volunteers, part-time assistants, summer staff, or contractors.

Directs and supervises the work of volunteers, part-time assistants, and contractors.
Specific Responsibilities
-
Inspects, maintains, and upgrades buildings, grounds, and systems including but not limited to: water supply, plumbing, sewage, drainage, painting, heating, refrigeration, electrical, fire alarm, telephone, power lines, and fire pump.

Repairs and maintains equipment, grounds, waterfront facilities, program equipment and infrastructure, furnishings, and vehicles.

Makes recommendations for improvements, and assists in developing plans for program infrastructure, facility renovations, and new construction.

Inspects and services any equipment which includes, but is not limited to: vehicles, powerboats, tools, and grounds equipment on a regular or seasonal basis; or arranges for such service according to the recommended maintenance schedule.

Security duties:
-
Frequent inspection of all Camp properties and facilities, making sure properties are secure.

Respond to physical plant emergencies during working hours.

"On-call" for physical plant emergencies.

Provides support services for summer camping programs, work parties, off-site events, and guest groups.

Oversees janitorial and housekeeping requirements and ensures a high level of cleanliness for all facilities and properties.

Oversees recycling and garbage disposal.

Responds promptly to maintenance and repair requests.

Works with and leads applicable committees

Participates in the hosting of rental groups.

Ensures all operators of equipment are properly trained.
-
Ensures compliance with all governing regulations, i.e. WBC, Health regulations, Building Code, etc. in areas of job responsibility.

Oversees and instructs safe powerboating and ensures all boats launched from Camp property are clean and free from invasive plant species.

Prepares materials, tools, and instructions for projects to be performed by variously skilled volunteers.

Provides Christian mentorship and biblical support to volunteers and staff.

Be committed to providing Christian love, biblical care, and support when required.

Patience in leading and mentoring young people who are just entering the workforce.

Good understanding of processes, policies, and procedures required for supporting a camp setting

Excellent time management and organization skills with strong attention to detail

Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task without supervision

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a positive team environment

Ability to develop and provide concise and clear reports in a timely fashion.

Must provide a Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector screening

A demonstrated faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord is essential for this position.
