SUMMER STAFF

All 2024 Summer Staff Positions have been filled!

4 Month Positions
First Aid Attendant

As the onsite OFA attendant, this person will be responsible for the safety of the staff team and provide first aid in the event of an emergency.  This person will also work closely with and orientate the volunteer camp nurses weekly.

Head Cabin Leaders: 1 Male and 1 Female

This 4-month leadership position will work under the direction of the Executive Director to provide training, support, and supervision of our cabin leaders during the day and evenings. In addition, this two-person team will provide spiritual care and mentorship to cabin leaders.  
 
Waterfront Supervisor

The Waterfront Supervisor oversees all the safety and security of the waterfront for campers and staff during summer camps and guest groups. In addition, this person is responsible for training and monitoring all other waterfront staff, including lifeguards, boat drivers, spotters, and dock staff. They will ensure that everyone adheres to camp policies and procedures on the waterfront. The waterfront supervisor will create schedules for waterfront staff each day.  In addition, they will assist in any area, including the spiritual program and activities, as required.

Lifeguard/Program Support

Lifeguards provide safety and security on the waterfront for campers and staff during summer camps and guest groups. They will ensure that everyone adheres to camp policies and procedures on the waterfront. This position will also join the other summer staff members in duties that help prepare and maintain camp for the summer.  In addition, they will assist in any area, including the spiritual program and other activities, as required. 
 
Boat Driver/Maintenance Assistant

As a Boat Driver, this person must have experience driving competition-style ski boats and pulling various activities.  They will be responsible for the daily maintenance and operation of the ski boats, plus support the rest of the camp staff in different areas of operations.  Must be at least 18, have a valid Canadian Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC), and have a standard first-aid certificate or equivalent. When not boat driving, this person will assist the maintenance department in various jobs.

Support Staff Leader: 1 Male and 1 Female

The Support Staff Leaders will work under the Operations Manager to provide daily training, supervision, and mentorship to the support staff assigned to work in this area.  Responsibilities will include ensuring that each area of the program and facilities are ready and maintained for each day of camp, guest group, and event.  When needed, the support staff leader will help facilitate activities.

Summer Secretary

The Summer Secretary is responsible for fostering good public relations and hospitality with all campers, volunteers, parents, visitors, and residents. They will receive camp registrations and respond to emails and phone calls. In addition, they will support office staff in performing their needs and duties.

Program Assistant

The Program Assistant will work under the leadership of the Program Director to help develop and create the summer program story. In addition, during the summer months, the Program Assistant will play a significant role in implementing games, activities, and special events.  This person will be expected to be comfortable on stage and behind the scenes, helping keep the program organized and running smoothly.

Videographer - Program Assistant

The Videographer will produce a 9-12 minute highlight video that documents each week of camps and is shown at closing ceremonies on the last day of camp, plus accessible for campers to view online when they go home from camp. In addition, the videographer will work with the program director to produce videos that enhance the program story and game intro videos.
 
Music Leader - Program Assistant

This new position will be responsible for leading songs during camp chapel sessions. In addition, they will be responsible for organizing and practicing with music teams made up of summer staff.  When not required to make music in chapel, this person will report to the Program Director and support the summer staff team in other areas.

4 - Month Cabin Leader

This person's responsibilities will include working with school groups during May and June and helping prepare camp property and programs for the summer. During the summer, they will be responsible for sharing the love of Jesus with campers by providing a fun, safe, and engaging camp experience. In addition, they will lead campers through games, activities, discussions, and devotionals from a biblical perspective.

Assistant Cook


The Assistant Head Cook will work under and assist the food service manager in delivering the menu, preparing the food, and managing the volunteer kitchen teams.
2 Month Positions
Cabin Leader

Cabin leaders are responsible for sharing the love of Jesus with campers by providing a fun, safe, and engaging camp experience. They will lead campers through games, activities, discussions, and devotionals from a biblical perspective.  This position will also join the other summer staff members in duties that help prepare and maintain camp for the summer when not cabin-leading.

Lifeguard/Support Staff

Lifeguards are responsible for providing safety and security on the waterfront for campers and staff during summer camps and guest groups. They will ensure that everyone adheres to camp policies and procedures on the waterfront. This position will also join the other summer staff members in duties that help prepare and maintain camp for the summer.  In addition, they will assist the day camps in any area, including the spiritual program and other activities, as required. 

Crafts Leader


The craft leader position will be combined with another summer staff role. This person will ensure the craft area is set up daily and that age-appropriate crafts are available to those running the craft hut during activity times.  

Support Staff


This role helps Camp Imadene operate smoothly.  Duties include housekeeping, dishwashing, janitorial, grounds maintenance, activity leading, and other tasks supporting the summer program.  Opportunities to cabin lead are also available.

Kitchen Assistant

The Kitchen Assistant will work under and assist the food service manager in delivering the menu, preparing the food, and managing the volunteer kitchen teams.
