2021 SUMMER STAFF POSITIONS

Senior Leadership Positions - 4 Months

Head Summer Staff Leaders: 1 Male and 1 Female

This 4-month leadership position will work under the direction of the Director of Program and Development in providing training, support, and supervision of our summer staff during the day and during the evenings. This two-person team will work together in providing spiritual care and mentorship to the rest of the summer staff, while also overseeing and implementing our day camp chapel program for our campers.  

 

Lifeguard/Support Staff

Lifeguards have the responsibility of providing safety and security on the waterfront for campers and staff during summer camps and guest groups. They will ensure that everyone adheres to camp policies and procedures on the waterfront. This position will also join the other summer staff members in duties that help prepare and maintain camp for the summer.  In addition, they will assist the day camps in any area including the spiritual program and other activities as required. 

 

Support Staff Leader

The Support Staff Leader will work under the Director of Program and Development in providing training, supervision, and mentorship to the support staff who are assigned to work in this area for each day.  Responsibilities will include making sure that each area of the program and facilities are ready and maintained for each day camp, guest group, and event.  When needed the support staff leader will help facilitate activities.

Leadership Positions - 2 Months

Summer Secretary

The Summer Secretary shares the responsibility of fostering good public relations and hospitality with all campers, volunteers, parents, visitors, and local residents. They will receive camp registrations, respond to emails and phone calls. They will support office staff in performing their needs and duties.

Wildside Leader

Wildside is our outdoor adventure program and will run in conjunction with our day programs this summer.  The leader of this program will be responsible for leading groups of campers through the various Wildside activities, as well as making sure all adventure activities are ready for each day's use. When Wildside days are not happening the leader will integrate into the main site day programs.

 

Maintenance Assistant

This person's responsibilities include providing assistance to the Maintenance Manager in keeping the facility running and in good repair. They will maintain all lawns and landscaped areas, help direct and work alongside other summer staff doing grounds and maintenance for the summer season They will also assist with emergency repairs as necessary.

Boat Driver/Support Staff

As Boat Driver, this person will be required to have experience driving competition-style ski boats pulling a variety of activities.  They will be responsible for the daily maintenance and operation of the ski boats, plus support the rest of the camp staff in various other areas of operations.  Must be at least 19 yrs old, have a valid Canadian Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC), and have a standard first-aid certificate or equivalent.

Group Leaders and Support Staff - 2 Months

Group Leader

Group leaders have the responsibility of sharing the love of Jesus with campers by providing a fun, safe, and engaging camp experience. They will lead groups of campers through games, activities, discussions, and devotionals from a biblical perspective.  This position will also join the other summer staff members in duties that help prepare and maintain camp for the summer.

Support Staff

This role helps Camp Imadene operate smoothly.  Duties include housekeeping, dishwashing, janitorial, grounds maintenance, activity leading, and various other tasks that support the summer program.  Opportunities to assist in group leading are also available when available.
